Department of Paediatrics, Developmental Immunology Research Group, Institute of Developmental & Regenerative Medicine IDRM, Old Road Campus, Oxford About the role We have an exciting opportunity to join the Developmental Immunology Research Group of Professor Georg Holländer in the Department of Paediatrics as a Post Doctoral Research Associate. You will play an important role in the contribution in understanding ways to rejuvenate the thymus and thus the adaptive immune system in health and disease. You will be responsible for co-designing and executing research programmes related to different aspects of thymus biology employing informative experimental models and a broad range of analytical platforms, including single cell transcriptomic analysis and advanced flow cytometry. You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology. The Developmental Immunology Research Group under the lead of Professor Georg Holländer conducts research on the molecular and cellular control of thymus development and function. This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract initially for two years with the possibility to extend provided further funding is available. Part-time applications may be considered (with a minimum of 80% FTE).
