Role Purpose:
You will shape the school’s SEND strategy and work alongside SLT, pastoral teams, and families to ensure that every learner achieves their full potential. The school is committed to high-quality, differentiated teaching and holistic support.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the SEND department and ensure provision is tailored, consistent, and ambitious
*
Coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews, and ILPs
*
Train and guide teaching and support staff in inclusive classroom practice
*
Work with local authorities, therapists, and external agencies
*
Promote student voice, inclusion, and equity
Candidate Profile:
*
QTS and National SENCO Award (or willingness to complete)
*
Experience leading or coordinating SEND in a secondary school
*
Excellent knowledge of current legislation, policy, and best practice
*
Empathetic, organised, and proactive with a strategic mindset
