Group Finance Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm
Location: Gillingham office (with occasional travel to group subsidiaries)
Salary range: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract type: Permanent
Your next role
Were looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team and play a key role in keeping our processes accurate, organised, and running smoothly.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, working closely with colleagues across the business. You'll gain exposure to group-level processes, contribute to improvements, and play a part in ensuring everything behind the scenes works as it should.
What you will be doing
In this role, you'll be involved in a variety of activities, including:
* Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
* Managing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries
* Supporting weekly payment runs in line with deadlines
* Working closely with teams across the business to ensure timely approvals
* Assisting with month-end activities and reconciliations
* Contributing to improving and standardising purchase ledger processes across the group
Who we are looking for
Were looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with high volumes of data.
Youll ideally bring:
* At least 2 years experience in a purchase ledger or similar role
* Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems (Sage is a bonus)
* A proactive approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
* Good communication skills and confidence working with colleagues at all levels Experience in a multi-site or service-based environment (desirable)
If you also have experience supervising or leading elements of a process, even better - but its not essential.
