Woodwork Technician\n\nLocation: Northampton\n Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Permanent & Long-Term Opportunities\n\nAre you a practical, safety-focused individual with a passion for hands-on learning? Do you enjoy working in creative environments and supporting young people in their development?\n\nSecondary schools across Northampton are looking for reliable and skilled Woodwork Technicians to join their Design & Technology (D&T) teams from September 2025. These full-time roles are ideal for someone with a background in carpentry, joinery, or workshop support, who is keen to contribute to education in a meaningful way.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nSupport the delivery of woodwork and D&T lessons by preparing materials, tools, and resources\n\nMaintain workshop machinery and ensure a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment\n\nAssist teachers and students during practical sessions, offering technical guidance and promoting safe working practices\n\nMonitor and manage stock levels, ordering materials and equipment as needed\n\nCarry out routine safety checks on tools and machinery, maintaining accurate records\n\nSupport displays of student work and assist in whole-school events or project-based learning activities\n\nContribute to a culture of creativity, precision, and respect for craftsmanship\n\nWe're Looking For:\n\nExperience in woodwork, carpentry, joinery, or a similar practical trade\n\nA proactive, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills\n\nConfidence using tools, machinery, and workshop equipment (e.g.
