Job Introduction The Insurance Counsellor role is accountable for working closely with Personal Financial Consultants who would be managing Premier Banking customers. The role holder will develop, engage, retain and activate clients, and fulfill Insurance protection needs through the identification of customer needs and opportunities to create deeper and “stickier” relationships. Principal Responsibilities The role of an Insurance Counsellor (IC) is that of a Product Expert (PE) on insurance and is required to guide clients on insurance products Strengthen HSBC’s image as a leading wealth provider by providing clients with access to advanced technical product expertise. Support PFCs to gain more clients’ confidence and trust in HSBC capabilities and increase the effectiveness and quality of needs fulfilled for target clients in need. Assist PFCs in deepening and growing client relationships through identifying and uncovering client's needs, identifying relevant wealth solution and technical analysis, and assisting PFCs in presenting and explaining solution(s) to client. Join PFCs in meeting clients and provide advice, input based on technical knowledge while acting as a second point of contact to PFCs for specific products and solutions; Improve PFCs’ product specific technical knowledge by effective on-job coaching and training. Requirements 2-3 years of relevant experience in a Bank of Asset Management Companies MBA from a reputed institute preferred, Post Graduate Degree is preferred Customer centric attitude and problem-solving skills Demonstrate behaviours consistent with HSBC Values Expertise in bank’s systems and processes Skills in sales, financial planning and communication. Knowledge of bank and operating platforms. Knowledge of sales and service techniques and models. Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Coaching techniques on a team or one to one basis Planning and organising skills Additional Information Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
