Field Service & Site Cover Engineer – Grantham & Newark (Newark on Trent, United Kingdom)
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment.
* Conduct preventative maintenance and essential check-ups to keep the fleet running smoothly.
* Travel to various customer locations, delivering on‑site support and building strong relationships.
* Operate and maintain a full range of equipment, from pallet trucks to very narrow aisle trucks and automated solutions.
* Work autonomously while collaborating with the wider engineering team.
Qualifications
* Experience as a vehicle technician, mechanical engineer, forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician or similar.
* Ideal candidates hold an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.
* Comfortable using IT equipment to keep accurate records and place orders.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong work ethic, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
