Commercial Insurance Development Broker Leicester (East Midlands)
Base Salary: Up to £60,000 + Uncapped Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
Are you a driven Commercial Insurance professional with a knack for winning new business and a passion for the East Midlands market?
We are seeking a high-calibre Commercial Development Broker to join a leading brokerage in Leicester. This is a pivotal role designed for a proactive "hunter" who excels at identifying opportunities, building long-term relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions for mid-to-large corporate clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of diverse commercial risks. You won’t be restricted by a narrow niche; instead, you’ll have the autonomy to build a portfolio across:
* Commercial Combined
* Public & Employers' Liability
* Motor Fleet
* Financial Lines (D&O, Professional Indemnity, Cyber)
* All Associated Commercial Classes of Insurance
Key Responsibilities
* Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and engage with prospective commercial clients across the East Midlands.
* Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of client exposures to design bespoke insurance programs.
* Market Negotiation: Utilise your strong insurer relationships to secure competitive terms and comprehensive coverage.
* Client Presentation: Lead formal presentations and "pitch" meetings to secure new instructions.
* Collaboration: Work alongside dedicated Account Handlers to ensure a seamless transition from "prospect" to "client."

About You
* Proven Track Record: You have a demonstrable history of developing new commercial business within a brokerage environment.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Commercial Combined, Liability, and Fleet risks is essential.
* Local Network: A strong existing network or knowledge of the Leicestershire/East Midlands business landscape is highly advantageous.
