Finance Manager (Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands
Contract: 12–18 months | Start: Immediate
Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a fast-paced, multi-entity business on a fixed-term basis. The role will support day-to-day financial operations, cash flow management, and payroll processing, while also assisting with general business support.
Key Responsibilities
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow (60%)
* Monitor bank accounts and reconcile daily
* Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts
* Handle intercompany invoicing and resolve discrepancies
Payroll Processing (20%)
* Process monthly payroll using Sage Payroll, BrightPay, or similar
* Liaise with HR on starters, leavers, and statutory changes
* Ensure HMRC and pension compliance
Business Support (20%)
* Manage finance inboxes and respond to queries
* Liaise with external service providers
What You’ll Need
* Proven experience in a similar finance role within an SME
* Proficient in Sage Line 50, Xero, and Excel
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and a proactive, hands-on attitude
