Diagnostic Vehicle Technician required in Droitwich, Worcestershire
Salary: £36,000 Basic + £46,000 OTE
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40-hour week with flexible working hours (3 shift rotas available)
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a busy and respected main dealership in Droitwich. Job Purpose: To carry out advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and high-level fault-finding on a wide range of vehicles. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all diagnostic and repair work meets the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform advanced diagnostics and identify faults across various makes and models
2. Carry out repairs to manufacturer standards and within agreed timeframes
3. Interpret diagnostic reports and use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software
4. Support junior technicians with technical advice and guidance
5. Complete documentation and job cards accurately
6. Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair requirements and time estimates
7. Maintain workshop equipment and ensure all health & safety protocols are followed
Requirements
8. IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
9. Extensive experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician within a main dealer or independent garage.
10. Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills using up-to-date diagnostic equipment
11. MOT Testing qualification (preferred but not essential)
12. Valid UK Driving Licence with minimal points
13. Strong teamwork and communication skills
14. A commitment to maintaining the highest quality of work in a busy environment
