About the Role
As a Deputy Depot Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing shift operations within the depot. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you’ll ensure the accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines to our retailers.
This dynamic and rewarding position will involve:
* Supervising staff, providing training, coaching, and identifying training needs.
* Generating accurate reports to highlight challenges and successes.
* Collaborating with the management team to identify potential risks.
* Maintaining high health and safety standards at all times.
* Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
* Working within an annual budget and forecast.

About You
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in warehouse management. You should be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to manage large operations and liaise effectively at all levels.
* Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with team members and management.
* Experience in planning and executing night operations, addressing challenges as they arise.
* Tenacity and a results-driven approach to exceeding targets and delivering exceptional client experiences.
* Computer literacy and confidence in using technology and IT systems, particularly MS Office.
* Strong business acumen with commercial and financial awareness.
