Vehicle Technician
Manpower are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician for one of our clients in the Thorne area. This position functions Monday to Friday, starting at 6 am until finish.
Responsibilities
* Inspect vehicles to NEW, AUC and BVRLA standards, using mobile computer technology.
* Take high‑quality images of damage as required, dependent on customer inspection standard, review images to confirm quality of customers' expectations.
* Communicate with several internal and external partners to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently and accurately.
* Identify damage and previous repairs and apply the correct repair method autonomously.
* Load work into the correct work areas and apportion the costs to the correct responsibility.
* Handle all inspection equipment in a safe and proper manner.
* Provide a professional level of customer service to both internal and external customers, including carrying out demonstrations of the inspection process during calibrations.
* Liaise closely with site personnel and maintain regular contact with line manager.
* Remain up to date on customer inspection process and standards.
* Take care and responsibility of all vehicles in your care, reporting immediately any accidents.
* Carry out other duties as requested by line manager.
* Actively champion a culture of continuous improvement.
The pay rate is £14.40 per hour.
