Reporting Service Design Lead
You will join Movar as a Reporting & Performance Design Lead for a Reporting-as-a-Service function, responsible not only for delivering reporting outputs but for shaping how reporting supports decision-making across the programme.
Operating at the intersection of project management, project controls and PMO design, you will work with clients to define and evolve the reporting operating model—ensuring that reporting is aligned to governance cadence, decision points and value outcomes, rather than simply data availability.
Alongside running the live reporting service, you will help design and implement the structures, processes and service layers that underpin a Digital PMO—translating an aspirational vision into practical, adoptable capability.
Core Responsibilities
Operate the Reporting Service
* Lead production of executive and programme reporting packs aligned to governance cycles.
* Ensure reporting outputs are decision-ready, clearly articulating performance, risk and required actions.
* Facilitate reporting cycles and governance forums, ensuring the right conversations happen at the right time.
* Work with delivery teams to ensure reporting reflects real delivery position, not just system outputs.
Design the Reporting Operating Model
* Define and evolve the Reporting-as-a-Service model, including service catalogue, processes and roles.
* Shape how reporting aligns to governance, delivery and enablement layers within the Digital PMO.
* Design reporting structures that integrate schedule, cost, risk and change into a coherent control narrative.
* Translate strategic vision into practical reporting capabilities and increments.
* Identify and implement improvements to reporting cadence, content and usability based on stakeholder needs.
Drive Insight and Decision Support
* Develop structured performance narratives that explain what is happening, why, and what should be done next.
* Support senior stakeholders in using reporting outputs to make timely, evidence-based decisions.
* Identify systemic issues and cross-programme themes emerging from reporting data.
Integrate Across Project Controls
* Work closely with planning, cost, risk and commercial teams to ensure joined-up control and reporting.
* Help define and embed common standards (KPIs, RAG, structures) that support integrated performance views.
Support Digital PMO Evolution
* Contribute to the design and maturation of Digital PMO capabilities beyond reporting (e.g. risk, planning, assurance).
* Act as a bridge between delivery reality and enablement capability, ensuring solutions are usable and adopted.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong background in project management, PMO or project controls within complex programmes.
* Experience operating within, or close to, governance and decision-making environments.
* Ability to design and improve operating models, processes or service functions, not just execute them.
* Strong understanding of how value, risk and performance manifest in project delivery.
* Ability to translate ambiguous strategic intent into practical, implementable approaches.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior delivery and governance stakeholders.
* Comfort working in environments where data, systems and processes are evolving simultaneously.
* Sufficient data literacy to engage with BI and data teams, without needing to be hands-on technical.
* A builder’s mindset—comfortable delivering today while shaping tomorrow.
