Lead Maintenance Engineer
Salary: To £50,000 basic + £5900 Call Out + Overtime
Hours: 42.5 hrs/week, Mon-Fri + 1-in-4 call-out rota
Temp - Perm role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to manage and lead all engineering and maintenance activities at a busy Waste to Energy site in Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations
* Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and safe systems of work
* Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems (including CHP engines, pumps and feedstock equipment)
* Manage the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
* Minimise downtime through effective fault diagnosis
* Supervise technicians and contractors
* Act as technical lead for plant upgrades and improvements
* Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota
About You
* Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (ONC, C&G, HNC)
* Min 3 years' hands-on engineering experience in an industrial environment
* Experience of mechanical and electrical systems
* Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, pumps, hydraulics, heating systems
* Confident leader with strong problem-solving skills
* AD or renewable energy experience desirable
