Hereford Job Summary The Personal Vetting and Records Officer (PVRO) will be a Point of Contact for all contractor`s and visitor`s to the establishment ensuring that personnel are appropriately vetted to the required level and briefed before access is granted to the establishment in compliance with the organisation`s security protocols. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job Description The post holder will be expected to: Administering and advising contractor`s on vetting policy and procedures, whilst maintaining and regularly update the contractor vetting register. Conduct vetting checks via the designated security portal. Serve as the main point of contact for organising and recording of security briefings for contractors, ensuring attendance and completion of annual mandatory training and disclosure paperwork. Liaise with the main reception to coordinate and issue and return of both temporary or permanent passes. File and load all Disclosure Agreements onto the relevant databases. Initiating timely clearance reviews for contractors who are employed by the Garrison to ensure correct and continuous clearance is held for each post. Ensure those individuals who hold Developed Vetting, complete an annual Security Appraisal Form (SAF). Liaising with United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) to request priority or hasten clearance applications, and refer any vetting issues, assist with correspondence issued by UKSV. Liaising with external agencies as and when required. Manage the Risk Register once confirmation is received from the respective custodian, providing clearance details that need to be added and removed when necessary. Liaise with coalition organisations to facilitate access/visits in the UK and overseas locations for contractors. Ensure all contractors follow the clearance process confirming all passes are removed when they leave the premises. Any other tasks as directed by the Line Manager that are commensurate with the grade and role.
