Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures
* Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing commissioning plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
* Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to progress system installations in line with the master schedule
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully
* Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to improve sequencing and program delivery
* Chair and participate in onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
* Review and ensure production of necessary documents by system stakeholders, including programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
