Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated SEN Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist school in Coventry, supporting pupils aged 7–18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism, and other additional learning needs.
The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every young person is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. With small class sizes (around 8 pupils per class) and a strong therapeutic approach, staff work collaboratively with psychology and occupational therapy teams to create tailored learning and support plans for each child.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in helping pupils to regulate their emotions, stay engaged in lessons, and develop positive learning behaviours. You will work both 1:1 and in small groups, supporting students to build confidence, resilience, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs.
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent strategies.
* Work closely with teaching and therapy staff to implement personalised learning plans.
* Help students engage in learning activities and celebrate their progress.
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN and/or challenging behaviour.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
* A genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
* Willingness to obtain a DBS (or hold one registered on the update service).
* Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
