Job Description
To carry out duties as a cleaner in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures, As a Cleaner, you will be in a working yard and will be responsible for keeping a variety of areas clean across the main site.
Ensuring that the key areas of the site are kept clean:
* Staff Toilets
* Staff Canteens
* Staff Kitchens
* Offices
* And any other areas outlined by the supervisor
* Undertake all work to a high standard with minimal risk to Health and
* Safety. Complete and maintain accurate records and paperwork where necessary.
* To wear appropriate clothing and PPE.
* Be responsible for your own safety and all others around you.
* To maintain and care for all company equipment.
* To attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety courses
* arranged by the employer.
* To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the
* attention of the Employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems
* and protective measures.
* Keep records of COSHH safety data sheets in relation to materials used. Ensure
* materials are stored correctly and safely.
Quality and Health & Safety:
* Demonstrate a positive attitude towards improving the culture in the
* workplace, stop and report any activity you feel might cause injury or damage,
* ensuring that everyone works safely at all times.
* Follows and adhere to any control measures required under the Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. Ensure good housekeeping of work areas at all times. ·
* Support the company in maintaining and improving our ISO 9001 (quality), 14001 (environmental), 45001 (health and safety) standards through adherence to the Navantia UK Management Systems this is the responsibility of all Navantia UK employees when conducting all processes and activities.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Previous experience of cleaning in an industrial environment.
* Knowledge and compliance of workplace safety.
* Work execution independently according to valid instructions, rules and other
* standards.
* Flexible cooperation with other team-members.
Key Interpersonal/Behavioural Skills:
* Ability to establish an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to accomplish a goal.
* Effectiveness in identifying possible problems for upward reporting/investigation.
* Ability to express ideas or facts in a clear manner.
* Professional and pro-active work ethic.
