There is an entry level opportunity at Poten & Partners for a
Trainee Broker
to join the desk in our London office.

Poten has over 180 employees located across four continents. The LPG team at Poten & Partners is recognised as one of the world's leading brokerages and advisors. Multiple members of our team are world experts in their field and have held senior positions in major oil and trading companies. The LPG team comprises about 25 professionals located between Houston, London, Singapore & Guangzhou
Initially the role holder will be responsible for assisting brokers, examples being:
* Providing support to Brokers (e.g. vessel position tracking, running vessel TCE calculations, learning the techniques and strategies needed to provide advice to clients on the freight market).
* Assisting with the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the desk, with the goal being to eventually take on a
physical brokerage role
on the freight desk.
The role holder will operate at all times in accordance with FCA and other relevant regulatory requirements and be fully aware of and act in accordance with relevant desk procedures and compliance and other policies and procedures.

Technical Skills

* Basic understanding of financial services industry, and the sector in which the organization operates.
* Good understanding of/or ability to understand relevant technologies.
