Job Title: Builders Merchant Apprentice Location: 565 Wallisdown Road, Poole, Dorset, BH12 5HD Hours: 47.5 Hours per week Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5pm Hourly Rate: £10.25 Paid Hourly Benefits: Detailed below We are recruiting for an Apprenticeship Counter and Yard Merchant Operative to join their team, serving both our Trade customers and general public. This role will involve physical yard work and driving a counter balance fork lift. Duties will include: Serving our customers in the Builders Merchant. Correct recording and completion of tickets. Dealing with Customer orders as required. Dealing with cash sales to correctly record and account for all payments received. Reconciliation of cash sales including payments, by cheque, credit card or cash. Ensure that our products are of good quality and displayed in line with Company guidelines Develop strong relationships with key customers. Your responsibilities will be to pick and load building and landscaping products for customer collections and deliveries. Unload and receive goods in from suppliers. Complete daily inspection reports. Compliance to Health and Safety requirements at all times. Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment. Maintains quality service by enforcing excellent customer service standards Operation of Shop, including sales of materials, all transactions of loads to be inspected for loads in and out, generating Tickets to fully record all incoming and outgoing loads, whether sales or stock.
