Job overview

A fantastic opportunity exists to join The Oxfordshire Community Dental Service as a Dental Receptionist!

We are a Countywide Dental Service providing a range of Special Care Dental treatment tailored to meet the individual needs of the patient whilst ensuring access.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, motivated Receptionist with excellent front of house and communication skills to work within our Witney Dental Clinic. The clinic provides specialist, emergency and routine dental treatment for patients within priority groups.

Applicants who have applied in the last 3 months need not apply.


Main duties of the job

To provide cover for comprehensive reception function as part of a frontline team to deliver high quality service to patients and staff. The post holder will liaise extensively with patients and staff and make all appointments for patients. In addition, there is responsibility for accurate financial transactions including banking, reconciliation and debt collection. May be required to cover at other sites across Oxfordshire.

Knowledge Requirements

* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Experience of Microsoft Packages including Outlook & TEAMS
* Proven experience working in administrative/receptionist role


Further Training or Job Related Aptitude & Skills

* Ability to prioritise workload


Experience

* Previous experience of administrator/receptionist role
* NHS Experience
* Experience working within Dental Practice
* Experience of handling cash, receipts & banking procedures


Personal Qualities

* Flexible for when you are asked to cover at short notice another clinic
* Work well under pressure and with possible distractions


Contractual Requirements or other requirements

* Own car or access to alternative travel for business use
