About The Role
At Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering, we are delivering some of the UK’s most complex and technically challenging infrastructure projects. As part of a business that underpins major developments across transportation, energy and the built environment, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring quality is embedded at every stage of delivery.
What you’ll be doing
In this hands‑on, influential role you will support project teams to implement and maintain assurance systems, providing guidance, coaching and training to internal teams and the supply chain. You will coordinate assurance activities, manage digital tools for performance monitoring, oversee audit and compliance programmes, and ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood and effectively met. Your duties will include monitoring quality outputs, resolving issues as they arise, preparing handover documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle.
Who we’re looking for
We need a candidate with a strong background in quality management within construction, engineering or manufacturing, with experience in assurance and compliance on complex projects. A Level 4 or higher qualification in a relevant discipline and progress towards Chartered status with the Chartered Quality Institute is preferred. You should bring a proactive, analytical approach, excellent communication skills, and be comfortable managing competing priorities. Experience in accreditation audits, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and digital assurance platforms is advantageous.
