You will join a passionate and highly skilled interdisciplinary team committed to delivering long-term, person-centred therapy for individuals living with Parkinson's. Working closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and Parkinson's specialist nurses, you'll play a
key role in holistic assessment, treatment planning, and goal-focused rehabilitation.
Your role will be primarily clinic based, but will incorporate participation in the rehabilitation exercise groups, and may involve elements of domiciliary working, depending on service need.
Main duties of the job
You'll have the chance to be actively involved in a
cutting-edge research study investigating the use of AR technology to enhance therapy outcomes for people with Parkinson's
. This pioneering project puts you at the forefront of the future of neurological rehabilitation and offers outstanding opportunities for professional growth, research involvement, and skill development in digital health innovations.
As well as
providing clinical care to people with Parkinsons, you will participate in the approach, recruitment and follow up of patients into this research study, under the direction of the clinical team, research nurses and research practitioners.
We are looking for a physiotherapist who:
* Has proven experience at Band 5 or Band 6 level (neuro or elderly care experience desirable)
* Is enthusiastic about innovation, research, and collaborative working.
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to evidence-based, person-centred care.
* Thrives in a multidisciplinary setting and is eager to develop specialist knowledge in Parkinson's.
* Is proactive, flexible, and passionate about delivering excellence in rehabilitation.
