Role: FLOOD RISK ENGINEER
Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 (DOE) per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Bristol for a Flood Risk Engineer with 2+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents. Our client is an independent environment practice integrating residential and commercial architecture, engineering, planning and surveying for diverse projects.
As a Flood Risk Engineer, you will contribute to multiple projects focusing on residential and non-residential developments, enhancing drainage and flood risk strategies.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing comprehensive Flood Risk Assessments to support planning submissions.
• Developing effective Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategies.
• Liaising with clients, third-party consultants, and local authorities to ensure seamless project execution.
• Utilising software such as MicroDrainage and Flow to model and optimize drainage systems.
• Assisting with site Masterplanning to ensure compliance with drainage and flood risk requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• Possess 2+ years of experience in a Civil engineer, drainage engineer, hydraulic engineer, flood risk consultant or similar role.
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents.
• Strong background in managing drainage and flood risk elements of a project.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK Drainage / Flood Risk Regulation / Best Practice.
• Proficiency in Micro drainage / Flow, Micro station / AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
