Diving Safety Officer– Helensburgh
Working pattern: hybrid (on site & home)
Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Diving Safety Officer to join the team.

About the role:
The Diving Safety Officer is responsible for the effective management and continuous improvement of the Diving Safety and Environmental Management System (DSEMS) and the Safe Diving Process at Site. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, policy, and industry best practice to maintain the highest standards of diving safety and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and continuously improve the Diving Safety and Environmental Management System (DSEMS), ensuring compliance with statutory, and company requirements.
* Conduct audits, inspections, and assurance activities across diving operations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Lead investigations into diving incidents and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are captured and corrective actions implemented.
* Provide specialist diving safety advice to management, operational teams, and contractors.
* Support emergency preparedness activities, including the development and testing of diving emergency response plans.
* Monitor diving personnel competency, training, and certification requirements to ensure ongoing operational readiness.
Key Requirements:
Essential
* Experience as a Diving Supervisor
* HSE Diver – HSE Standard of competence for diving at work
* NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Safety
* NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Safety
* HSE Diver – HSE Standard of competence for diving at work
Desirable
* Diving System Auditor (Desirable)
Other Key Points:
* Security - The incumbent of this role must be a minimum of SC cleared and a sole UK national since birth.
