We’re seeking a dedicated and skilled children’s Senior psychotherapist to join our growing in-house Therapy Service. You’ll work within a supportive team of highly skilled and experienced psychotherapists, working together to support the delivery of therapeutic care. This will include working closely and collaboratively with our incredible managers and practitioner teams to help shape a trauma-responsive environment that builds safety and connection for our young people. Length of service benefits Your Role As a Senior psychotherapist, you will: Be responsible for the line management and clinical supervision of psychotherapists in the team. Provide consultation, training and support to our practitioner teams and managers in the delivery of our therapeutic model of care. Help teams understand children’s behaviours, offering insight and training to enhance their practice. Provide one-on-one therapy for children, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs. Work within a supportive team of highly skilled and experienced psychotherapists and psychologists. Complete meaningful assessments, therapeutic formulations and progress reports to ensure our care is tailored to the individual needs of our young people. Operate flexibly, with time spent at our Blackpool Head Office, in children’s homes across the North West, with occasional working from home. What We’re Looking For We need someone with: Relevant professional qualification as a therapist for example, clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, child psychotherapist, counsellor, art therapist cognitive behaviour therapist (minimum Degree Level 6). Substantial experience working directly with children in a counselling or psychological capacity. UKCP/BACP registration A compassionate, authentic and approachable team player. Deep knowledge of trauma and attachment theories, and an ability to apply them to practice. Strong understanding of legislation and safeguarding practices within residential childcare. Exceptional communication and IT skills, alongside proficiency in record-keeping. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
