We are looking to appoint dedicated person full time for 12 months senior cable engineering consultant to lead and deliver cable engineering works on behalf of EGL2.
Summary of key activities:
1. Lead Design Assurance Engineer (LDAE) for EGL2 cable works as defined in National Grid BP/SR188.
2. Fulfil the role of LDAE role including design review, hazard review, attending design, hazard review meetings and assurance of design deliverable.
3. Agree Design & Hazard review meeting strategy with Lead Contractor Design Approval Engineer (LCDAE) for design deliverables.
4. Proactively coordinate with the LCDAE to provide an approved design.
5. The role also requires supporting other work/design packages for EGL2 as required for cable interfaces.
6. Provide ad-hoc and independent assistance/assessment for escalated/complex technical items.
7. Participate in cable discipline team discussions
8. Provide guidance/mentoring to junior engineers.
9. Lead as required and participate in regular meetings, both internally with EGL2 and other consultants and stakeholders who may be involved.
