Looking to Make a Real Difference?
Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced and supportive Primary English & Maths Tutor to work with primary-aged students across Ponteland on a 1:1 or small group basis.
This role is about more than just delivering lessons. Youll be helping young people rebuild their confidence, re-engage with education, and develop strong foundations in English and Maths.
The students youll support have a range of abilities and may have been out of education for some time due to SEND, SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, or other barriers. Because of this, patience, understanding, and adaptability are key.
Sessions take place face-to-face, either in a community setting or in the young persons home.
What Youll Be Doing
Delivering personalised 1:1 or small-group tuition in English and Maths
Planning sessions tailored to each students individual learning gaps
Tracking and monitoring progress
Creating a positive, encouraging learning environment
Completing daily attendance logs and weekly progress reports

Were Looking For
Wed love to hear from you if you:
Have experience working with young people with SEND (including ADHD, SEMH) or those who have been permanently excluded
Have worked in settings such as a PRU (desirable but not essential)
Hold the right to work in the UK
Have (or are willing to apply for) an enhanced child barred list DBS registered on the update service
Can provide references covering the last two years
