Anderson Knight are partnering with a reputable professional services firm based in Edinburgh to recruit an Employee Relations Business Partner. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and influence the employee relations function within the organisation.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and maintaining positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and promoting a harmonious work environment. This role requires strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, along with a proven understanding of employment law and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement employee relations strategies to promote a harmonious workplace.
* Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices to managers and staff.
* Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
* Collaborate with management to address performance issues and develop corrective action plans.
* Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate discussions between employees and management.
* Deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
* Analyse employee relations data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
* Review exit interviews to identify areas of concern and suggest enhancements.
* Partner with HR and management to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
* Monitor employee morale and engagement, proposing initiatives to enhance satisfaction.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and industry best practices.
* Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of employee relations matters.
* Assist with general HR duties as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in an employee relations role, preferably within a professional services environment.
* In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Excellent conflict resolution and mediation abilities.
* Skilled in conducting investigations and handling sensitive information with discretion.
* Proficient in HRIS systems and other relevant HR tools.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions:
This position offers a hybrid working model, 35 hour working week (9-5) and excellent benefits.
