WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a Manufacturing Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for the assigned Value Stream. You will be directly responsible for the overall performance of the value stream with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth. Additionally, you will lead and optimize processes to meet customer demands and business needs.
The Value Stream Manager will have a direct impact on our Operations group, responsible for:
* Driving the value stream to deliver plan levels of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth by ensuring all associates are engaged in improving each production line.
* Understanding and maintaining requirements of the EHS Manual to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Managing all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment within the stream, including safety reviews, risk assessments, and reporting incidents.
* Ensuring execution of hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
* Maintaining visual controls (KPI, MRS, TPM, 5S Boards) and ensuring they reflect key problems and root causes.
* Updating reports (Bowlers, Flash, MOR, CI Roadmap, SharePoint).
* Providing earned hours pulse and forecast.
* Developing and maintaining the future state of the Value Stream Map and FFV through Kaizen, JDI, and projects.
* Collaborating with engineering, supply chain, finance, quality, and other areas, as well as customers and suppliers.
* Participating in the weekly and monthly SIOP process to determine production rates and direct labor needs.
* Reporting, improving, and leading KPI metrics (RTY, Efficiency, UPPH, Uptime, Productivity, Flexibility).
* Ensuring accurate data collection from each value stream.
* Implementing leadership characteristics in SWFF, 5S, TPM, MRS, SMED, and Problem Solving.
* Maintaining APQP core tools (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC).
* Managing, leading, and motivating the Value Stream team and handling disciplinary issues.
* Developing associates through the IC process.
* Driving and promoting business Mission, Vision, Purpose, and Shared Values.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You consider yourself an excellent leader who oversees the production process and coordinates activities to maintain high standards, with a passion for learning.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* HND or Degree in Mechanical, Production, Electronic, or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in manufacturing line management.
* Experience in Electronics or Automotive Industry is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Techniques such as Standard Work, SMED, TPM, VSM, Problem Solving, and Kaizen.
* Six Sigma trained (Green or Black belt advantageous).
* Experience creating SOPs, Work Instructions, and Procedures.
* Experience with APQP Core Tools (Process Flow, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC).
* Knowledge of SAP, CAD drawings, and measurement tools.
* Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies like COBOTs, SCADA.
* Understanding of Quality Systems (ISO 9001, TS 16949).
* Experience with PCBs, injection moulding, machine shop, coils (advantageous).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
