Overview
Service Engineer / Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer required to join a global, market-leading engineering manufacturer.
Role and responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on milk pumping and fluid transfer systems.
* Service and maintain metering, pipework, valves, and pump assemblies.
* Perform planned maintenance, testing, and calibration to hygiene and operational standards.
* Replace or rebuild pump components such as seals, impellers, and drives.
* Keep accurate service records and parts inventory.
* Install and commission new vehicle-based pumping systems.
* Site based near Aylesbury with occasional travel across the South UK to customer sites.
Requirements
* Hands-on experience working with mechanical systems (any industry background considered - e.g. automotive, plant, HGVs, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, refrigeration, rotating equipment, or other electro-mechanical machinery).
* Comfortable with maintenance, repair, and fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills - full product training provided.
* A recognised engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant mechanical experience is advantageous.
* Flexible, practical, and hands-on approach to mechanical engineering.
* Based within commutable distance to Aylesbury, with willingness to travel to customer sites in the South UK when required.
