Overview
Registered Veterinary Nurse - Patient Coordinator at Hamilton Specialist Referrals. 2 part-time Patient Coordinators (RVN) to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within the clinical nursing team and act as a point of contact for clients.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating a seamless client experience by delivering a consistent, client-focused service and communicating clearly with clients throughout their pet’s journey.
* Overseeing patient admissions and discharges, managing inpatient care coordination, and working clinically as part of the wards team. This includes I/V catheter placement, blood sampling, TPR & BP assessment, sedation/recoveries and nurse consults.
* Acting as a pivotal link between clients, clinicians, and the Clinical Administration team to maintain clear and effective communication and support the best possible patient outcomes.
Qualifications
* Qualified RVN with current RCVS registration.
* Experience within a referral setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of client liaison.
Working pattern
This is a part-time fixed-term contract. We offer 22 hours/week over 2 days or 33 hours/week over 3 days. Occasional weekend cover may be required on a rota basis.
* Option 1: 33 hours/week, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 07:30-19:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch break).
* Option 2: 22 hours/week, Thursday & Friday 07:30-19:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch break).
Location
Hamilton Specialist Referrals, Buckinghamshire, near High Wycombe. A 24/7 hospital offering advanced orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, oncology and internal medicine services, with dedicated imaging facilities including a 16-slice CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography and ultrasound.
