We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in facilities management, who can demonstrate a successful history of identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and leading winning bids.
You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and contributing to the continued success and growth of the Southern, Devon, and Cornwall regions of the business.
Responsibilities
* Identifying bid and tender opportunities to develop a sales pipeline of approximately £2 million per year.
* Presenting Churchill Contract Services to potential clients through face-to-face meetings, calls, and emails.
* Managing the complete sales process: lead generation, credentials pitch, asking questions, solution pitch, negotiation, close, and handover to operations.
* Delivering tailored presentations to potential clients using various techniques.
* Collaborating with internal departments including customer services, the Bid Team, and operations.
Qualifications
* Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
* Leadership, motivation, and strategic planning abilities.
* Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
* Strong judgment, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
* Experience with commercial and education clients is desirable.
* Strong commercial awareness, financial management, and IT literacy.
