About the Role
As the Commercial Manager, you will be manage opportunities through the sales process and subsequent project lifecycle, maximising the commercial success of projects. You will also explore new avenues of business development activities and seek opportunities to grow and develop a portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
* Commercially manage projects using best practice procedures for the full project life-cycle (incl. billing)
* Cohesively interface with the Delivery Team to ensure service excellence is achieved throughout the project life-cycle
* Maintain flawless information and communication management, both internally and externally
* Review and develop operational processes to improve project performance
* Provide the business with accurate project updates
* Identify, investigate and qualify targets, opportunities and accounts
* Prepare cost, sales value and margin workings in-line with CLM’s commercial targets
* Lead efforts to develop and maintain effective client relationships to increase revenue
* Contribute towards the market strategy and its implementation
* Negotiate the value and scope of contracts
* Review and implement effective pricing strategies and closing tactics
* Identify optimal scope of works and accurately quantify works
* Ensure all bids are compliant with relevant regulations and CLM policies
* Present relevant information at appropriate forums such as sales meetings

Required Skills
* Proven experience in tier 1 commercial management, ideally within the construction or fireproofing sector
* Qualification in quantity surveying or commercial management
* Enthusiasm for and experience in cultivating lasting relationships
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
* Ability to adapt to the changing demands of a growing company
* Strong project management skills; capable of planning, prioritising, meeting deadlines, troubleshooting and evaluating efforts in an ongoing manner
* Excellent customer service skills to grow a company’s client base
* Strong strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions
* Knowledge of laws/regulations and industry trends
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong marketing development skills to successfully bring in new business/clients
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to listen well and build trust
* Solid financial skills, including financial reporting abilities
* Ability to work effectively with and value differences of diverse groups of individuals
* A genuine interest and strong commitment to CLM Fireproofing’s mission and customer excellence
