Process Engineer
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to join our well-established client based in Gloucester on a full-time permanent basis.

Shift:
Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5pm & Friday: 8.30am - 3.30pm
Rates of Pay:
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a Process Engineer are:
Support the value stream team with day-to-day Process Engineering activities
Utilise standard Process Engineering tools to complete tasks accurately and consistently
Complete PFMEA and Control Plan activities alongside Quality Engineer
Ensure SOPs are up to date for all production processes and products
Develop and maintain production process maps using Value Stream maps, Yamazumi charts, Spaghetti diagrams, and MOST time studies
Identify and implement process improvements to increase flow, reduce waste, and control costs
Manage tooling within the allocated value stream
Analyse manufacturing process data and propose solutions for continuous improvement
Provide technical support to resolve process issues and improve OEE
Support the introduction of new products and processes
Participate in Lean improvement events
Assist cross-functional teams with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures
Maintain Process Engineering KPI reporting
Support annual improvement plans and audit schedules
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Build strong working relationships with value stream teams
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Company
Essential Skills:
The skills required as a Process Engineer are:
Significant Process Engineering experience in complex manufacturing
Use of tools such as Yamazumi, Time-study (MOST), SOPs, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Spaghetti diagrams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
Desirable Skills:
Experience designing and implementing new processes
Lean manufacturing experience (Single Piece Flow, Jidoka, SMED, 5S)
Project management experience (Microsoft Project, Gantt charts, Project Charters)
Knowledge of APQP processes including PPAP, PSW, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs
Training:
On-the-job training provided
