SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
* Provide support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
* Implement individualised education plans under the guidance of the class teacher
* Assist with the development and implementation of educational activities tailored to meet the needs of SEN students
* Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a caring and understanding manner
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
* Experience working with SEN students
* Understanding of special education needs and strategies to support student learning
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Additional qualifications in Special Education or Teaching Assistant training is desirable
Experience:
* Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
* Experience with SEN students in an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
* Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certificate or Diploma in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* First Aid training
Working Conditions:
* Work in a school environment with regular classroom activities
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviours from students with SEN
* Full-Time hours with occasional flexibility required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
