Main duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead strategic, statistical thinking and contributions to Development Plans, Regulatory Strategy, Health Technology Assessment, and Commercial Presentation for indications/projects within an AZ product team.
You will provide leadership to statistical staff on the indications/projects to ensure all work complies with AZ standards and external regulations; develop design options with experts; provide high-quality decision support to enable informed business decisions; and quantify benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of the emerging product profile.
You will hold CRO/Partners accountable for high-quality standards of their deliverables and represent AZ and Statistics to Health Authorities and Reimbursement/Payer Organizations for specific projects/indications.
You will apply expert skills to investigate and apply novel statistical approaches for relevant issues, regulatory guidance, or value demonstration. You will mentor and support the education and training of Statistics staff in technical areas.
Requirements
* MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related quantitative fields, or equivalent experience
* Understanding of regulations/developments in Clinical Development and Biostatistics
* Experience as a statistician in clinical trials, pharmaceutical development, regulated research, or related areas
* A collaborative mindset
* Dedication and ability to apply expertise to problem-solving
* Experience with relevant statistical software
* Ability to analyze data from clinical studies or other significant areas
