An established and well-regarded multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join their Edinburgh office.

The Role
This position is ideal for a graduate looking to begin their career in building services engineering. The successful candidate will support the delivery of electrical design solutions across a variety of projects, gaining exposure to all stages of the design and construction process.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to projects from initial concept through to completion, while benefiting from structured mentorship and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and delivery of electrical building services
Support concept and scheme design stages (RIBA Stages 2 & 3)
Contribute to detailed design development (RIBA Stage 4)
Produce drawings and technical documentation
Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams
Attend client and project meetings
Support site inspections and installation monitoring
Ensure work is delivered in line with quality standards and project deadlinesTechnical Exposure
Electrical services design and calculations
Use of industry-standard software (e.g. CAD, Revit, design tools)
Preparation of technical reports and documentation
Understanding project delivery across all RIBA stages
Involvement in post-contract and site-based activitiesAbout You
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Ideally some relevant placement or internship experience
Working towards professional accreditation (e.g. CEng)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
