Stock Controller
I’m currently working with a business that is looking to appoint an organised and detail-focused Stock Controller to support their warehouse and logistics operations. This role is key to ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting smooth order fulfilment.
The Stock Controller will take ownership of stock integrity across multiple locations, working closely with warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams. You’ll be responsible for monitoring stock movements, carrying out regular stock checks, investigating discrepancies, and continuously improving stock control processes using Sage X3.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels to ensure availability while controlling excess stock

Carry out regular physical stock counts and reconcile against system records
*
Review and verify all stock movements including receipts, dispatches, and work order completions
*
Manage stock disassembly processes when required
*
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and shortages
*
Support procurement and supply chain teams with timely stock replenishment
*
Maintain accurate stock documentation and records
*
Produce inventory and discrepancy reports for management review
*
Oversee stock accuracy across all internal and external storage locations
*
Implement and improve stock control procedures and standards
*
Support and participate in internal and external stock audits
*
Provide guidance or training on stock management processes where needed
*
Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure correct storage and handling
*
Assist with monthly stock write-offs and scrap reporting in collaboration with senior stakeholders
Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations
*
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
*
Experience using Sage X3 and MS Office
*
Confident with numbers and data analysis
*
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
*
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
*
Comfortable with physical stock checks in a warehouse environment
