Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a new Junior Chef de Partie for our expanding catering team. This is a full-time role working 38 weeks per year, offering a salary of up to £21,325.69 per annum.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working alongside the Head Chef and Catering Manager to provide high-quality meals that exceed expectations for pupils and staff.
2. Ensuring the use of company nominated suppliers and high standards of food quality upon delivery.
3. Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the highest standards.
4. Assessing food quality continuously to meet high standards.
5. Assisting with the induction of new employees as instructed.
6. Recording daily production and wastage sheets and submitting them correctly.
7. Assisting with the compilation of budgets for hospitality and events, ensuring accurate costing and charging to clients if necessary.
Candidate requirements:
The successful candidate will have previous experience in similar roles or be eager to step into this position, with a strong knowledge of kitchen procedures. Early applications are encouraged, and interviews may be scheduled before the closing date.
