The Business Applications Practice Champion (BAPC) is responsible for supporting critical day-to-day tactical operational activities that aid the Practice Lead in managing the Practice. These include addressing staffing issues/needs, driving certification and skill development of Practice members, participating in recruitment of Practice members, and supporting employee engagement activities. This role will be a “connected” leader who can speak to Practice members on behalf of the Practice Lead.

This role is designed to support the accountabilities within the remit of Practice Lead; developing and evolving the broader practice strategy, optimizing revenue and chargeability in line with KPIs, developing a talent plan and workforce strategy, and maintaining skills, learning, and development strategies.
The BAPC remains a client-facing practitioner with assigned roles and targets for chargeability and market utilization. The BAPC reports to the Practice Lead for practice-related responsibilities.
Skills And Experiences
* Understanding of Avanade’s business within the assigned and across Business Groups
* People-focused with the ability to support organizational culture, drive employee engagement, and promote inclusion and diversity
* Comfort in interacting with leaders and employees at all levels
* Strong time management skills to balance internal practice work and client responsibilities
* Understanding of skills and capabilities needed now and in the future
* Additional skills include capability planning, change management, client relationship management, collaboration, inclusive leadership, and operational excellence
About You
Success traits include:
* 8+ years in a technology or business consulting organization
* 5+ years managing and leading professionals in a corporate environment
* Interest or experience in employee engagement, onboarding, and coordinating employee activities
What You'll Do
* Support staffing needs to meet client demand
* Assist in developing and executing workforce plans
* Collaborate with Resource Management to identify talent supply and partner with offshore/nearshore channels
* Manage readiness activities, including bench management and engagement of Practice members
* Partner with Talent Acquisition for hiring and Career Advisers for career planning
* Ensure skill profiles and internal resumes are current
Certifications and Development
* Manage certification drives and capability building
* Monitor progress and fill skill gaps
* Guide Practice members on skill development for future readiness
* Support performance and compensation processes
Collaboration and Community Building
* Coordinate onboarding activities and develop onboarding materials
* Embed Avanade principles, increase inclusion and engagement, and build communities
* Share updates and recognize Practice members
Shared KPIs
* Market utilization, chargeability, headcount, attrition, engagement, diversity, certifications, and strategic priorities
