Overview
A National Organisation is seeking Graduate Telecommunications Design Engineers to join their growing business and work on some new age projects. Responsibilities
* The successful Graduate Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high quality designs for telecommunications sites.
* Work with the site project engineer to produce site specific designs, placing emphasis on quality design outputs & compliance with internal quality standards.
* Ensure efficient design and effective communication amongst design stakeholders (internal & external).
* Undertake and/or review site surveys and produce survey reports detailing workable, best practice solutions.
* Produce designs to quality standards, statutory and client requirements.
* Produce plan & elevation views with associated standard design requirements.
* Complete work to output expectations, ensuring the timely delivery of work.
* Develop strong working relationships with other Design Engineers / internal stakeholders, ensuring milestones are met within agreed timeframes.
* Ensure design buildability and cost control considerations within designs.
* Support the Lead Engineer as required, in particular through expert structural design advice.
* Act as an escalation point for project engineers who require design assistance.
* Provide a designated point of contact to clients for all matters relating to structural engineering.
* Attend multi skilled visits (MSV), providing practical & relevant design advice to meet site & client specifications.
* Work closely with other Design Engineers, Project Managers, Acquisition Surveyors, Project Engineers and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Construction/Engineering or a related discipline.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Strong investigative skills, ability to procure information & report findings.
* Sound IT skills competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
