Job Summary
We are seeking three skilled, motivated, and compassionate nurses to join our Children’s Palliative Care Nursing Service in Birmingham. The role is within a supportive team that provides high‑quality, child‑centred care to children and young people (CYP) with life‑threatening or limiting conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional support to the Children’s Community Nursing service and Rapid Response Teams.
* Participate in on‑call duties to deliver end‑of‑life care to children and young people who require it.
* Support families to ensure all social, emotional, practical, and nursing needs are met during the palliative and terminal phases of care.
* Work autonomously and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Children’s Nurse or Adult Nurse.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong teamwork ability and initiative to work autonomously.
* Passion for palliative care and experience in caring for children with life‑threatening or limiting conditions.
* Leadership and management skills are desirable and will be developed within the team.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be part of a larger community nursing service that delivers over 100 clinical services across Birmingham and the West Midlands. This is a Foundation Trust role with opportunities for professional growth.
