The Manufacturing Metrology Group at NPL has a mission to facilitate confidence in measurement data in manufacturing products and processes.

About You
We are looking for a scientist with at least 5 years of experience in one of our key technologies (CMM, Non-contact measurement, image analysis/XCT, or Industry 4.0).
You should have an interest in and be open to learning about other areas, with the ability to work comfortably with a multidisciplinary team.
This role requires a relevant academic qualification at least at Degree level, ideally a Master’s or PhD in Engineering or Science.
Experience in working with the manufacturing industry, including scoping and delivering projects in collaboration with industrial companies, is essential, along with the ability to discuss the impact of your work.

* Ability to define and implement scientific strategy
* Strong problem-solving skills
