We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Photographer/Videographer to join our busy 3 site department based in beautiful Buckinghamshire.
The Medical Photography service for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is an evolving service that is growing to meet the needs of its patients and clinicians.
This opportunity comes as the department enters an exciting period of change and service growth.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced clinical photographer /videographer with at least 3 years’ experience.
You will have experience in all aspects of medical photography and clinical videography and will be able to demonstrate the ability to work innovatively and without supervision.
You will work alongside other team members to ensure a professional and efficient experience for our patients and provide effective clinical imaging support to all of our service users.
You will have a working experience of the Medical Photography and Video Service in Buckinghamshire as well as an understanding of departmental developments and service evolution.
Main duties of the job
·Responsible for providing a high standard of clinical photography / video in all situations ensuring that this is undertaken with speed, dexterity and accuracy.
·To be responsible for understanding all relevant issues regarding patient consent for clinical photography / video and is able to provide advice about appropriate policy to Trust staff.
·To be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of complex photographic or video productions and public relations photography
·Manage their own workload on a daily basis
·To provide ensure all photography and video work falls within national and local guidelines and is compliant with all Trust policies
·To represent the department and advise staff on all matters relating to clinical photography and video.
·To ensure appropriate use of and access to digital image management systems.
·To demonstrate professionalism in all tasks.
·To be involved in technological and innovation developments within the service and to advise colleagues and clinical teams in the application and uses of new techniques including AI.
·To be conversant with relevant aspects of digital image management and to train and advise clinical teams in their use.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
11. Degree or equivalent experience in clinical photography
12. Evidence of CPD
13. Attendance at relevant short courses
14. HPC Registration
Experience
Essential criteria
15. At least 3 years experience of clinical photography; including plastic surgery, orthodontics, dermatology and ophthalmology
16. Digital clinical photography and related specialist software applications
17. Image management system, use, maintenance and audit
Skills

18. Evidence of completed video projects
19. Manual Handling skills
20. Ability to deal with complaints and different situations, e.g. under-taking photography for non-accidental injury
21. Manipulation of technical and lighting equipment – speed and accuracy required
22. A working knowledge of the hospital environment
