Stantec are going through an exciting time with significant growth in our water sector and we are currently seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the technical delivery of projects. As a member of our Structural Engineering team, you will lead on the delivery of high-quality structural engineering projects across a variety of projects across sectors. In addition, you will be partner with our clients across the UK and will play a key role in exceeding their requirements through the technical delivery of projects. You will report directly to the Structural Team leader in Manchester supporting internal opportunities in the water sector and beyond. This role will be based in our Manchester Office with hybrid working between office and home anticipated. In this role you will carry out structural engineering design for concrete, steel and masonry structures. You will also carry out structural inspections and produce accurate reports that define requirements for asset maintenance and modification to meet client and regulatory standards. You will manage the resourcing of the projects and be responsible for the technical delivery. About You: In addition to previous structural design experience, you will have a good knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering, and an awareness of other engineering disciplines sufficient to enable collaborative working across Stantec. You will also have a good knowledge of construction, both temporary and permanent, and of the information requirements of construction teams as part of design & build projects.
