We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join a fantastic business in Peterborough. This is a hands–on role centered on managing and improving core financial processes. We are seeking a motivated, high–potential accounting professional who is ready to advance their career and take full ownership of the finance function within a small to mid–sized business.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead day–to–day finance operations
* Produce monthly management accounts
* Manage cashflow and financial controls
* Ensure compliance and governance
* Liaise with auditors and accountants
* Improve systems, processes, and automation
* Develop reporting and insights (e.g. Power BI)
* Support operations with financial analysis
* Provide commercial and decision support
* Lead and develop the finance team
Required Skills
* Senior finance role experience
* Hands–on management of finance operations
* Experience in SME or multi–site environments
* Use of cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero)
* Support for commercial decisions and operations
* Experience with audits, bids, or funding processes
* Strong reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
* Effective cashflow management and financial control
