Role: Test Analyst
Clearance: MUST HAVE DV
Location: Hemel Hempstead (fully onsite)
Rate: £650 pd inside IR35
Duration: 6 months
Role Overview
To provide enhanced coordination and comprehensive testing and analytical skills, whether as part of a testing project, within a managed testing service, or as part of a development project for both functional and non-functional testing. The role may entail team leading and providing advice and guidance on process and good practises to own or others teams. Also provides guidance on testing best practice to other teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to Test Plan and Test Approach documents, in line with the Test Strategy.
* Understand requirements and derive tests from them.
* Understand core solution design artefacts (e.g. HLD, LLD).
* Analyse and write clear and in-depth Test Cases, including expected results for complex high-level requirements.
* Close liaison with Developments & Engineering teams.
* Use Test Management Toolset to write test cases and for defect management.
* To deliver work to agreed estimates and timescales.
* To create and manage test data and specify testing environments for more complex requirements.
* To support and execute all levels of testing by actively coordinating with other parties involved in the project and to document and verify test results.
* To produce metrics on tests executed and incidents raised and proactively facilitate the resolution of errors.
* To escalate issues that might impact on quality or the ability to complete tests according to plan, and to proactively seek appropriate solutions.
* To undertake complex system integration testing.
* To aid enhancement of knowledge within the team by mentoring and sharing knowledge and best practices.
Essential Skills
* Good technical background
* Good understanding of the technology stack: Active Directory Forests, SQL, ITSM Toolsets, Software Monitoring (e.g. SCOM)

Desirable Skills
* Holds ISTQB Advanced Test / Technical Test Analyst
* PRINCE 2 Foundation
* Experience of common test automation tools
* Familiarity of Secure by Design principles
