Out of Hours Social Worker / AMHP
Location: Clarendon, Hebburn
Salary: £50,269 per annum (inclusive of retention payments, subject to review March 2028).
Shift allowance: 15% for out of hours work on a rotating shift pattern.
Training: Depending on required training, a year may be spent before full rota integration.
We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with post‑qualifying experience in Child Protection and/or Adult Mental Health.

Key Requirements
* Post‑qualifying experience in Child Protection work and/or Adult Mental Health.
* Appointment as an AMHP: If the candidate does not already have an AMHP qualification, they must undertake Approved Mental Health Professional training through Northumbria University starting September 2026, funded by the Local Authority. Failure to achieve AMHP status may result in termination or redeployment.
* Salary will be £47,181 per annum (inclusive of retention payments, subject to review March 2028) plus 15% shift allowance until AMHP status is achieved.
