The purpose of this role is to ensure that consignments are delivered to and collected from
customer premises on time and in full. All consignments are handled and moved safely,
comply with all relevant legislation and in accordance with company policy & procedures
How you create impact
1. Responsible for taking reasonable care of the Health and Safety of myself and others who may be affected by my acts or omissions at work to observe best practice and compliance with legislation in the protection of the environment and conservation of energy.
2. Submitting and raising Near Miss, Safety Concerns and Unsafe acts observed while carrying out your daily duties is every colleague’s responsibility.
3. Operate a van, rigid or artic in a safe and compliant manner adhering to legislation and company policy and procedures
4. Operate to the Distribution Strategy of Safer, Greener & Leaner.
5. Operate a van, rigid or artic to deliver and collect product to/from the end customer as required.
6. Ensure all vehicles in their area of responsibility are in a safe, roadworthy, clean and presentable condition.
7. This is a key customer facing role and as the representative of KN with our customers and the general public, you are required to maintain professional standards at all times while carrying out duties. To maintain the good repute of the company.
8. Scan all consignments on and off your vehicle and provide POD and POC using a handheld terminal.
9. Complete their duties in accordance with the Road Transport Distribution & company policies, procedures and processes
What we would like you to bring
10. Essential to hold a Valid Category B, C+E Driving licence
11. Preferable to hold a Valid ADR Training Certificate - Categories 1-9 excluding 7 but with 7x accepted packages
12. Preferable to hold a Valid Forklift Counterbalance licence
13. In date Drivers CPC
14. Share enthusiasm for our business and the importance of the role to the end Customer
15. Maintain a respectful attitude
16. Take accountability for your own actions
17. Customer delivery experience is preferable
18. Current or previous association with the Military may be advantageous
