Health Care Assistant (Hermitage/Moredon Surgery)
Westrop Medical Practice are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate has experience working in general practice / primary care and is prepared to work as part of a varied multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
* Work alongside GPs, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Undertake delegated clinical tasks within agreed competencies (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, BMI, venepuncture, ECG recording, urinalysis, visual acuity testing, vaccinations – influenza, pneumococcal, shingles, B12).
* Provide patient education, health promotion and support chronic disease management.
* Assist with infection control and patient safety standards.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
* Prepare and maintain clinical rooms and equipment.
* Support patients during nebulisation therapy and other clinical interventions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant clinical experience in a doctors’ surgery, community or hospital setting (primary care experience desirable).
* Competence in performing the tasks listed above, with appropriate training and assessment.
* Understanding of professional boundaries, scope of practice, confidentiality, infection control, safeguarding and data protection.
* Strong communication skills, organisational ability and capacity to work without direct supervision.
* Experience in a larger practice or multi‑disciplinary setting is advantageous.

Location & Hours
Hermitage and Moredon Surgeries, Swindon, Wiltshire.
Weekdays – hours to be agreed.
